Fashion Revue Judging:  Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Mt Pisgah Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.  Check the schedule in the 4-H Handbook for times.

Fashion Revue Public Show:  Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at Mt Pisgah Baptist Church

EXHIBIT GUIDELINES:
• Consumer Clothing members must have turned in their notebook in order to participate in Fashion Revue judging.
• A 4-H'er has the option of participating in Fashion Revue categories for "Sewing Construction," "Consumer Clothing," and/or "Sewing For Fun" in one year.
• Advanced Division may exhibit in any or all of the wearable exhibit categories.

Beginning—Grades 3, 4, & 5
Manual: 4-H 730
Model an item of clothing you helped purchase and that you’ll wear with other clothes in your wardrobe - choose an accessories to go with your purchase.

Intermediate –Grades 6, 7 & 8
Manual: 4-H 731
Model a casual or school outfit you have purchased and accessorized, or select from accessories you already own.

Advanced – Grades 9, 10, 11 & 12)
Manual: 4-H 732
Model a formal, dress-up, and or casual outfit that you have purchased and accessorized, or select from accessories you already own.

 

SEWING CONSTRUCTION Fashion Revue

State Fair Entries: Level C Grades 8 & 9 and 1 per category in Level D (maximum 8)

EXHIBIT GUIDELINES:
• A 4-H'er has the option of participating in Fashion Revue categories for "Sewing Construction," "Consumer Clothing," and/or "Sewing For Fun" in one year.
• Garments modeled must have been made by participants since the previous year's county fair.
• The garment modeled for Sewing Construction Fashion Revue must be made and modeled by the same person.
• State Fair categories - Open to 4-H members enrolled in Sewing Levels C or D, Wearables and who are in Grade 8 and above.
• A 4-H member modeling in State Fair categories at County level may enter any or all categories, but each Exhibitor is limited to one 4-H Sewing Fashion Revue Classification at State Fair.
• Each county can send six participants to the State 4-H Fashion Revue (maximum of two per category). On the county level, if there are no entries in a category, counties may send a second participant to the State Fashion Revue from another category.
• Outfits to be worn in the State 4-H Fashion Revue cannot be exhibited in any other 4-H exhibit section.



Advanced Sewing Wearable Exhibit Categories (Levels C & D)
Informal or Casual Wear: A complete outfit of one or two pieces suitable for school, weekend, or casual, informal activities.
Dress Up: This is suitable for special, church, or social occasions that are not considered to be formal. It may be an outfit of one or more pieces with or without its own costume coat or jacket (lined or unlined). This is not an outfit that would be worn to school, weekend, or casual, informal activities.
Free Choice: A complete outfit comprised of garments that do not fit in the other classifications. Examples include: tennis wear, swim wear, athletic or sportswear, lounge wear, riding habits, historic, dance, theatrical, or international costumes, capes, and unlined coats.
Suit or Coat: The suit consists of two pieces including a skirt or pants and its own lined jacket. It is not a dress with jacket as in “dress up wear”. The coat is a separate lined coat . It will be judged separately as a coat with its own accessories.
Separates: Consists of three garments that must be worn as a coordinated complete outfit. Each piece should be versatile enough to be worn with other garments.
Formal Wear: This outfit may be one or more pieces suitable for any formal occasion, such as proms, weddings, and formal evening functions.

 

SEWING FOR FUN Fashion Revue

EXHIBIT GUIDELINES:
• A 4-H'er has the option of participating in Fashion Revue categories for "Sewing Construction," "Consumer Clothing," and/or "Sewing For Fun" in one year.
• Item will be modeled by the person it was made for. The 4-H'er who made the item will also be present during judging to answer any questions. No animals will be permitted to participate in Fashion Revue.
• Sewing for Fun Fashion Revue judging will take place with the standard Fashion Revue judging.
• Sewing for Fun Categories will be judged separately from the Clothing Construction categories.
• Handcrafted garments made in the 4-H Crafts Projects may be modeled in 4-H Sewing for Fun Fashion Revue whenever the finished garment(s) meet the requirements of a Fashion Revue classification.
