Exploring 4-H is a taste of 4-H for those in Grade 2. There are seven exhibit options for these youth to obtain a feel of what the full 4-H program is all about for those in Grades 3-12. Each Exploring 4-H member will receive a participation ribbon and will have their project critiqued. There are basically six events starting with an orientation program, project help session, field day, project judging, fair parade and fun at the fair event. The cost of the program is $5 for the program fee
The 2017 Harris Hall Book is currently available. This contains information on the open class agriculture and horticulture exhibits that can be entered in the Putnam County Fair by residents of Putnam County, Putnam County Home Extension Club Members and Putnam County Master Gardener Members. 4-H Members are encouraged to participate too. Participants, ages 4 thru 2nd grade, will enter exhibits in the Lil' Sprouts Program.
