Seed Representatives Invited to Participate in Crop Yield Trials

Crop production is big business with more than $100 million in revenue each year in Posey County alone. Purdue Extension in Posey County conducts corn, and soybean yield trials to assist farmers in choosing the most profitable combination for their operation. In a survey of producers from southwestern Indiana, more than 80 percent of respondents indicated that they use one or more of these plot results to assist them in selecting the right variety or hybrid to plant on their farms.

2014 plot results are listed below for corn and soybean yield trials. The individual county results are sorted two ways- by yield and alphabetically. The combined links are side-by-side comparison of the Posey and Gibson County plots.

SEED REPRESENTATIVES are invited to participate in the 2015 Purdue Extension Yellow & White Corn Yield Trials as well as the 2015 Soybean Variety Trials. The corn trials will be planted in identical plots in Posey County and Gibson Counties again this year. While the Roundup Ready (RR), LibertyLink and Non-GMO soybean plots will be located in Posey County. Click on the links below for plot details and entry forms.
