The deadline to enroll animals for exhibit at the county fair has been extended to June 1. An email was sent with the details. If you didn't receive it, please contact the Extension office. Some have asked if they should purchase animals since the way that projects are exhibited may change or be postponed. This is a decision that each family will need to make, and with the animal enrollment deadline extended, you will know about the county fair changes before the June 1 deadline.
With 4-H programs moving to online, many new free opportunities are now accessible. Instead of only being able to participate in 4-H workshops and programs that are nearby, now you can join 4-H members throughout the country and take advantage of great programs offered from far away! Who could have imagined how much the world would change since the last newsletter! Change is hard for everyone, and when it does happens, we like for it to occur slowly and in ways that we can control. It's no wonder that we have spent weeks in shock. The Perry County 4-H Fair Schedule is now available.
Out of an abundance of caution and in an effort to keep our youth, volunteers, and community safe, the Perry County 4-H Council and Fairgrounds Committee in partnership with Purdue Extension Perry County, has elected to have the 2020 Perry County 4-H Fair virtually. The health and safety requirements that we had to meet were ones that weren't feasible for us to accomplish. This was a very difficult decision to make as all of us wish that we could have a fair that looks similar to previous fairs.

Perry County Junior Leaders is open to all Perry County 4-H Members in grades 7-12. Its purpose is to help build leadership and job readiness skills in 4-H youth, to help facilitate county 4-H activities, and to provide additional community service opportunities to its members.
