  1. Please attach (to the project) 4-H 618A-W “4-H Craft Information Card” for description of work completed on the project.
  2. If the article is to hang, it must come ready to hang.

If multiple pieces make up the exhibit, a photograph of the complete exhibit should be attached to the exhibit so the total exhibit can properly be displayed. For safety purposes, any craft exhibit that resembles a sword, knife, or look-alike weapon will be judged but will not be displayed.

You may exhibit a total of six items in the miscellaneous crafts project, limited to one from any specific category. The categories are as follows:

  • Fired and Plaster crafts - clay, china, porcelain, stoneware, pottery, ceramics, or plaster.
  • Woodcraft - wood burning, carving or whittling.
  • Weaving - baskets, cane or rush chairs, raffia, doormats, weaving or macramé.
  • Leathercraft.
  • Fabric - painting or stenciling on clothing or fabrics, machine quilting, fabric dolls or animals, etc.
  • Candle or soap - made from molds or free-form or decorated.
  • Jewelry, including woven jewelry.
  • Wreaths, swags or centerpieces.
  • Glass - stenciling, etching or stained.
  • Holiday Crafts - any craft item made for a specific holiday.
  • Bottled vinegar or Bath oil - using herbs, fruit, vegetables, dried flowers, etc.
  • Paper - origami, paper twist, rubber stamp design, stationery, scherenschnitte, and other.
  • Outdoor crafts - stepping stones, bird features, etc. Must be finished to be used outdoors.
  • Trash to Treasure - craft item must contain a majority of recycled items.
  • Other crafts - metal craft, latch hook, paint by number, decoupage or any not listed above.

Does not include latch hook, plastic canvas, machine knitting, machine quilting, or arm knitting/crocheting.

All must be framed as a picture and ready for hanging. Canvas art on a wooden frame is considered prepared for hanging provided that frame has a hanger.
