4-H Crafts Project: Needle Crafts, Fine Arts, and Misc Crafts

MISCELLANEOUS CRAFTS

You may exhibit a total of six items in the miscellaneous category.

  1. Fired and Plaster crafts - clay, china, porcelain, stoneware, pottery, ceramics, or plaster.
  2. Woodcraft - wood burning, carving or whittling.
  3. Weaving - baskets, cane or rush chairs, raffia, doormats, weaving or macramé.
  4. Leathercraft.
  5. Fabric - painting or stenciling on clothing or fabrics, machine quilting, fabric dolls or animals, etc.
  6. Candle or soap - made from molds or free-form or decorated.
  7. Jewelry, including woven jewelry.
  8. Wreaths, swags or centerpieces.
  9. Glass - stenciling, etching or stained.
  10. Bottled vinegar or Bath oil - using herbs, fruit, vegetables, dried flowers, etc.
  11. Paper - origami, paper twist, rubber stamp design, stationery, scherenschnitte, and other.
  12. Outdoor crafts - stepping stones, bird features, etc. Must be finished to be used outdoors.
  13. Holiday Crafts - any craft item made for a specific holiday.
  14. Trash to Treasure - craft item must contain a majority of recycled items.
  15. Other crafts - metal craft, latch hook, paint by number, decoupage or any not listed above.

 

Please attach (to the project) 4-H 618A-W “4-H Craft Information Card” for description of work completed on the project. If the article is to hang, it must come ready to hang.

Drawn thread work

Embroidery

Punch needlework

FINE ARTS

You may exhibit one in each category:

Oil/Tempera

Ink

Wood

Charcoal

Acrylic

Paper

Pastels/Crayon

Watercolor

Pencil

Canvasboard

Colored Pencil

Please attach (to the project) a postcard or page size description of work completed on the project.

All must be framed as a picture and ready for hanging.
