Purdue Extension: Expert Resources for COVID-19

The Edible Front Yard Mentor Program

June 1, 2021

The Deadline has been extended! Now accepting applications

For the 2021 season, individuals that live within Plymouth, IN city limits can apply for the mentoring program. The program focuses on growing edible foods at home. There are so many different ways people can incorporate these foods into their existing landscapes or homes. There is no experience necessary and you will get great resources to help you get started, help you along the way, and a local Master Gardener that will help teach you some best practices on gardening.

Our Edible Front Yard Mentoring Program hopes to get the local community involved in growing foods that are easily accessible. Growing edible foods at home doesn't have to be daunting! Keeping things simple can set individuals up for success. Growing foods in containers or with their flowers in the landscape are just two options but the possibilities are endless. If you are interested in applying or would like more information about the program, visit out webpage or call the Purdue Extension office at 574-935-8545
