Dining with Diabetes Virtual Program
Do you have type 2 diabetes? Would you like to learn more about your disease and how to live well reducing your health risks? If so, Purdue Extension has a great program for you!
Purdue Extension - Marshall County will be offering Dining with Diabetes sessions on Tuesdays, March 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm or 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm virtually via Zoom. Dining with Diabetes is a series of five sessions, including a three-month reunion session (reunion session date to be determined). The Dining with Diabetes program is open to those with diabetes, their family members and caretakers. The series of five sessions is $25.00.Pre-registration and payment is required. Participants are encouraged to attend all class sessions.
Diabetes is a very serious and costly disease, but research has shown that those who learn to manage their blood glucose (sugar) levels eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly can lower their risks of complications and lead a healthier and more productive life.
Registration form and payment can be mailed or dropped off at the Purdue Extension Office, 112 W. Jefferson St., Rm. 304, Plymouth. Cash or check accepted. Make checks payable to Purdue University. Materials can be picked up at the Purdue Extension Marshall County office. The Zoom link will be emailed to participants prior to the class.
