Master Gardener Hours

February 1, 2017

In Lake County there are different ways to submit Master Gardener volunteer or education hours. There are the forms that they can be submitted by the mail as well as by email. You also have an option to submit hours on a website as well. If you have not done this before, please contact the Extension Office for the registration code. There is also a resource document at the end that will walk you through the process. This is the website if you already have your log-in information: www.purdue.edu/hla/sites/master-gardener/

In the documents below, you will find first off a document that goes through the differing levels of Master Gardeners and what is active versus inactive status. You will find a handout as well on what types of activities count for hours compared to other activities. Finally, you will find different versions of the way to submit hours by mail or at least a record sheet that you can keep track of your hours on.

It is required that before volunteering for Master Gardener Booth events or the Help Line, that Master Gardeners go through the Garden Assistant Training. You can do this online with this https://www.youtube.com/v/HuHdforp_Ss. Make sure to watch the entire video and then follow the link provided to complete the process.
