Linda Curley, Purdue Extension Educator provided an interactive training for Early Childcare Professionals during a recent Early Learning Conference at Purdue University Northwest. Participants learned of the importance of incorporating block play in classroom activities. Guided and free play activities are important to the social, physical, and cognitive growth of children. As we continue to promote the importance of STEM activities for young children, we encouraged participants to continue to stress the importance of science, technology, engineering, and math when focusing on curriculum and activities for young children.
