This year brings a consolidation of Indiana's many local option income taxes into the newly named Local Income Tax (LIT). This tax structure promises a more simplified, transparent system where portions of the total rate can be adopted for property tax relief or local government expenditures. Meanwhile SEA 308 (2016) has changed the formula for farmland assessment once again.
