Dining with Diabetes Program

Do you have Diabetes? Want to make the best choices for your health but don't know where to start? 

Join us for Dining with Diabetes. A program for adults with type 2 diabetes (or who are at risk of type 2 diabetes) and their family members, caregivers, and support persons are invited to participate.

Dates: May 14, 21, 28, June 4, 2021; and reunion class Sept. 10, 2021

Times: All classes from 10A-12P ET

Where: Virtual, via zoom. Join from the comfort of your home or office.

What you need to participate: A computer or tablet with a camera and a reliable internet connection. While you can connect to zoom using a smartphone, these devices have limitations and are not preferred.

Cost: $40 per person or $65 per couple sharing print materials*^


Program Description:

Dining with Diabetes consists of four weekly sessions and a three-month reunion class.  This program will help you learn the skills needed to promote good health.

Dining with Diabetes is taught by trained and caring educators. The program includes:
• Understanding what all diabetics need to know and how diabetes affects your overall health
• Motivation and support — connect with others who are living with diabetes
• Meal planning and cooking demos
• ideas for being more active

Join and share with others who are learning to navigate living with diabetes too.


Register by May 5th and receive ingredients to start cooking flavorful diabetic-friendly recipes at home.

^Printed handouts for all sessions and some key kitchen supplies will be available for pick up at the Purdue Extension Offices in Knox and Daviess County. Arrangements will be communicated after registration.
