DIVISION/GRADE :
Level A – Grades 3, 4 (Building a Bright Beginning 4-H 973)
Level B – Grades 5, 6 (Building Blocks of Learning 4-H 974)
Level C – Grades 7, 8, 9 (Building a Strong Foundation 4-H 975)
Level D – Grades 10, 11, 12 (Building Relationships Toward a Brighter Tomorrow 4-H 976)

Rules
1. Community Judging of all 4-H Child Development projects will conducted at Project Check-In.
2. With your exhibit, give instructions on how it was made and for what purpose. Each piece of your exhibit must have a 2” X 3” card attached giving your name, grade, and club name.
3. Here are details for each exhibit option:
   A. Poster - Posters must be displayed horizontally, sized 22” x 28”, mounted on a firm backing (foam core board or other), and covered in clear plastic or other transparent material. Identification label in lower right corner of poster giving name of 4-H member, club, grade and year in project.
   B. Binder Notebook
     •• Identification label on front of binder giving name of 4-H member, club, grade and year in project
     •• Title page inside binder naming activity (or activities in Level C & D)
     •• Pages of activity and explanation to follow title page
     •• Photographs are helpful to show the activity being used or assembled
     •• Optional: Plastic sheet protectors, page decorations, binder cover decoration, etc.
  C. Display
     •• May be table top or floor style, not to exceed 36” x 36” x 36” (Display may include item(s) made in the activities you completed this year).
     •• Must be self-supporting to be viewed by the public


Exhibits
4-H members should complete at least 3 activities, each from a different chapter. Within the 2 year period for each
level, they should have completed at least 6 activities (for Levels A & B) or nine (for Levels C & D) activities, and at
least 1 activity from each of the 5 chapters. 

Level A 
1. Choose one of the following to exhibit:
2. Choose one activity that you completed in this level. Design a 22” x 28” poster or a binder notebook that shows or tells what you did with this activity.
3. Create a display no larger than 36” x 36” x 36” using one of the activities from your project manual.
4. Complete an Activity Card and attach it to the exhibit. A sample Activity Card is on page 40. Use a 5” x 8” index card or larger cardstock to create your card.

Level B
1. Choose one of the following to exhibit:
2. Choose one activity that you completed in this level. Design a 22” x 28” poster or a binder notebook that shows or tells what you did with this activity.
3. Create a display no larger than 36” x 36” x 36” using one of the activities from your project manual.
4. Complete an Activity Card and attach it to the exhibit. A sample Activity Card is on page 40. Use a 5” x 8” index card or larger card stock to create your card.


Level C
1. Choose one of the following to exhibit:
2. Design a 22” x 28” poster based on one of the activities you completed in your manual or one that promotes physical, emotional or cognitive skills.
3. Display a binder notebook that includes the information from one of the activities you completed this year.
4. Create a display no larger than 36” x 36” x 36” using one of the activities from your project manual or one that promotes physical, emotional or cognitive skills. Complete an Activity Card and attach it to the exhibit. A sample Activity Card is on page 40. Use a 5” x 8” index card or larger cardstock to create your card.

Level D
1. Choose one of the following to exhibit.
2. Design a 22” x 28” poster based on one activity you completed in your manual or one that promotes physical, emotional, or cognitive skills.
3. Display a binder notebook that includes the information based on one of the activities you completed this year.
4. Create a display no larger than 36” x 36” x 36” using one of the activities from your project manual or one that promotes physical, emotional, or cognitive skills. Complete an Activity Card and attach it to the exhibit. A sample Activity Card is on page 40. Use a 5” x 8” index card or larger cardstock to create your card.
