Although we've spent the last year focused on the COVID pandemic, weather disasters have continued as always. Please remember that as we move into spring, we are entering one of the most dangerous times for severe weather. Each year, severe weather outbreaks injure and kill many Americans.
While wintry weather such as snow or ice storms can and might still occur in late March here in Indiana, our most likely weather-related hazards are thunderstorms, tornadoes, and floods.
Numerous resources are available from IN-PREPared, the National Weather Service, safety organizations such as the Red Cross, and others which will help prepare you and your family for potential spring weather challenges.
