Science Investigators - Registration accepted until March 29.  More information is in the Related Files at the bottom of this web page.  This is for youth in grades 6 - 8 that would like to "play" with science.

March 29-31  4-H Shooting Sports Instructor Certification Workshop

Contact the Huntington County Extension Office if you are interested in becoming a volunteer with the 4-H Shooting Sports program.  The fall workshop will be September 6 - 8, 2019.

April 1 Steers and Commercial Heifers enrollment is due in 4honline.

Beef Steers, Dairy Steers & Commercial Heifers MUST be enrolled in 4honline to be eligible to exhibit at the Huntington County 4-H Fair or the Indiana State Fair.

YQCA is required of all youth exhibiting Beef, Dairy, Starter Calves, Swine, Goats, Sheep, Poultry, and Rabbits in Indiana 4-H.  You must register at www.YQCA.org to receive credit for the class.

All animals (except poultry, dog, cat and small pets) MUST be enrolled in 4honline to be eligible to exhibit at the Huntington County 4-H Fair or the Indiana State Fair.  Youth who plan on exhibiting SWINE at the Indiana State Fair must have DNA samples turned in to the Extension Office.

May 15 Final Day to Drop / Add 4-H projects in 4honline.

June 1 - 30  FairEntry for all youth planning to exhibit at the Huntington County 4-H Fair

All youth enrolled in 4-H that plan to exhibit at the Huntington County 4-H Fair are REQUIRED to enter their exhibits in FairEntry.  Youth who do not enroll will not receive premium money; will not have their name listed in the fair results; and will not be eligible for the Indiana State Fair (non-animal projects).

Any youth needing assistance with FairEntry should contact the Extension Office.  We are happy to assist you.

June 4-6  4-H Camp  North Webster

Registration is due May 1 to attend 4-H Camp.  The camp is for 4-H members in grades 3 - 6 (as of January 1).

June 10  4-H Leaders Meeting  7 pm  Purdue Extension Office

The last meeting prior to the 4-H Fair activities starting.  All clubs should be represented.

June 13  Mini 4-H Fun Day

This program is for youth in grades K-2 (as of January).  Cost $10.  RSVP to Purdue Extension

June 18  4-H Fair Board of Directors  7 pm  First Merchants Bank Heritage Hall

This meeting is open to the public.

June 24-26  4-H Round-Up @Purdue

This program is for youth in grades 7 - 9.  The focus is on career exploration.  Applications for scholarships are due March 8.

June 30 ALL record sheets are required to be turned in to your 4-H club leader by June 30 to receive your Verification Form (required to exhibit at the 4-H Fair).  Club leaders make ask for them at your June club meeting.  

June 30  FairEntry closes for 4-H Exhibits at the Huntington County 4-H Fair.

July 25  Livestock Auction and 4-H Project release. 
All Non-perishable items for exhibit at the Indiana State Fair must be checked in Heritage Hall during project release.  Do not take non-perishable projects home with you unless your family plans to transport them to the Indiana State Fair or you choose not to exhibit at the Indiana State Fair.

July 31  State Fair Perishable exhibits are to be turned in to the Extension Office between 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. for transportation to the Indiana State Fair.

The event will be held at 502 East Event Centre in Carmel.  This event is for ALL 4-H Club Leaders/Volunteers and 4-H members in grades 7 - 12.   Additional information will be provided as available.
