June 1 - 30  FairEntry for all youth planning to exhibit at the Huntington County 4-H Fair

All youth enrolled in 4-H that plan to exhibit at the Huntington County 4-H Fair are REQUIRED to enter their exhibits in FairEntry.  Youth who do not enroll will not receive premium money; will not have their name listed in the fair results; and will not be eligible for the Indiana State Fair (non-animal projects).

Any youth needing assistance with FairEntry should contact the Extension Office.  We are happy to assist you.

June 4-6  4-H Camp  North Webster

Registration is closed.

June 10  4-H Leaders Meeting  7 pm  Purdue Extension Office

The last meeting prior to the 4-H Fair activities starting.  All clubs should be represented.

June 12-14  4-H Academy@Purdue

Registration is closed.

June 13  Mini 4-H Fun Day

This program is for youth in grades K-2 (as of January).  Cost $10.  RSVP to Purdue Extension.  Registration closes May 24.

June 18  4-H Fair Board of Directors  7 pm  First Merchants Bank Heritage Hall

This meeting is open to the public.

June 19, 20 & 21  Clover Gaming

Experience playing a wide variety of board games.  Learn the basics of game development.  Plan and create your own board game.  This program is for youth currently in grades 5 - 8.  4-H members $10.  Non-4-H members $25.  Registration is due June 14 at the Extension Office.  See the flyer and registration form below for additional details.

June 24-26  4-H Round-Up at Purdue

Registration is closed.


June 30 ALL record sheets are required to be turned in to your 4-H club leader by June 30 to receive your Verification Form (required to exhibit at the 4-H Fair).  Club leaders make ask for them at your June club meeting.  

June 30  FairEntry closes for 4-H Exhibits at the Huntington County 4-H Fair.

July 15  4-H Cat Show  5:30 pm check-in.  The show begins at 6 pm.  Cat Posters will be judged Thursday, July 18 at project judging.

Livestock Auction and 4-H Project release. 

All Non-perishable items for an exhibit at the Indiana State Fair must be checked in Heritage Hall during project release.  Do not take non-perishable projects home with you unless your family plans to transport them to the Indiana State Fair or you choose not to exhibit at the Indiana State Fair.

July 26  Fair Clean-Up

July 28  4-H Horse & Pony Banquet

July 31  State Fair Perishable exhibits are to be turned in to the Extension Office between 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. for transportation to the Indiana State Fair.


August 2 - 18, 2019 Indiana State Fair


August 30  All 4-H Club records must be turned in to the Extension Office. 

Records must be entered before 4honline is closed on September 15.


September 2 Labor Day

4-H Shooting Sports Instructor Certification Workshop
Contact the Huntington County Extension Office if you are interested in becoming a volunteer with the 4-H Shooting Sports program. 


October 1  4-H Enrollment for 2020 is open in 4honline.


 4-H Leadership Summit  Saturday, November 16

The event will be held at 502 East Event Centre in Carmel.  This event is for ALL 4-H Club Leaders/Volunteers and 4-H members in grades 7 - 12.   Additional information will be provided as available.
