Located on Viking Lane near Huntington North High School

Helping Hands Community Garden has worked to serve the people of Huntington County since its formation in 2010. The garden serves to not only nourish the families of Huntington, but it's produce helps provide nutritional education programs provided by the Purdue Extension's Family Nutrition Assistants. The garden provides people of all ages the opportunity to plant, grow, harvest, learn and finally eat!

The garden is a collaboration between Purdue Extension Huntington County, Purdue Extension Master Gardeners, Huntington County Community School Corporation, local businesses and volunteers.

 

OPEN FOR HARVESTING: 

Monday: 9:00am-11:00am  

Wednesdays: 4:00-6:00pm

Friday: 9:00am-11:00am 

 

READY FOR HARVEST:  

Spinach, Lettuce, Herbs, Peas, Green Beans, Swiss Chard, Beets, Cabbage, Broccoli, Squash, Zucchini, Onion

 

WORK DAY: 

Every Saturday from 9:00-11:00am (weather permitting)

 

If you are unable to harvest during these times please call Huntington County Extension at 260.358.4826 to schedule a time to harvest with us!
