What is the Nutrition Education Program?
The Purdue Extension Nutrition Education Program (NEP) is a program for limited-resource audiences operating in partnership with Purdue Extension, Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, The National Institute of Food and Agriculture and Food and Nutrition Services. NEP serves all 92 counties in Indiana.
Community Wellness Coordinators improve nutrition and health in limited-resource communities statewide by concentrating on NEP's five focus areas: diet quality, physical activity, food security, food safety and food resource management.
