Lessons for Life

Purdue Extension Henry County is presenting a series of “Adulting 101” during each Wednesdays in June from 2-4PM at the Extension Office (1201 Race St. Suite 303, New Castle). “Adulting 101” is a mini-series of workshops for high school students who want to grow personally and professionally before graduating and entering the "real world". 

Workshop sessions are as follows:

June 5- Money Management & Budgeting
Develop skills necessary for applying smart fiscal decision-making
strategies in your daily life. This session will be led by: Debi Ware,
Assistant VP of Star Financial Bank

June 12- Civic Engagement & Leadership
Why is civic engagement important? How can we make a difference in
my community? This session will be led by:
Jeremiah Morrell & Dakota Davis, hosts of Boss Hog of Liberty podcast

June 19- Vehicle Maintenance & Safety
Join us at Big O Tires for this interactive session! We will be talking
everything from oil, tires, and vehicle warning lights. This session will
be led by: Chris and Rebecca Gonya owners of New Castle Big O Tires
**This session we will meet at Big O Tires on St. Rd. 3 in New Castle**

June 26- College & Career Readiness
Prepare yourself with the essential skills to find, acquire, maintain,
and grow within a job. This session will be led by: Beverly Matthews,
Executive Director & Michelle Leonard, Development & Marketing Director of the
Henry County Community Foundation
