We are now enrolling! Kindergarten U is a week-long "book camp" where pre-K youth experience what kindergarten will be like. The curriculum models a typical year of kindergarten where the participants read, write, count, explore the sciences, participate in physical exercises, and other fun, educational activities.
The 2015 4-H Camp and Shakamak State Park will be held June 14-16 for 4-H'ers that are currently in 3rd-6th grade. Registration is due Friday, April 24th by 4 p.m. We are allotted 40 campers and registration is on a first come, first serve basis. The Purdue Master Gardener Program provides an opportunity for Indiana residents to increase their knowledge on a variety of horticultural subjects. The mission of the program is to provide research-based information and assistance in the areas of gardening and home horticulture through the use of trained and certified volunteers. If you will be at least 16 years old by June 1st, you are eligible to enter the 2015 Hendricks County Fair Queen Contest. The entry deadline is May 15. Check out this page for the rules and to download an application. Contestant workshops will start on Sunday, June 7th.
