There will be no paper enrollment forms for animals. Help sheets are available below and when you log in to 4HOnline. Assistance will be available at tagging days. If you need help or have questions, please call our office at (812) 385-3491.

Changes for 2016:

- All Dairy & Swine are required to have 840-RFID tags for exhibition.

- Mini 4-H members must participate in a Horse & Pony safety workshop.

Swine: All 4-H members must have a current PQA+ certification in order to exhibit Swine at the fair. If your PQA+ certification expires before July 10, plan to attend the training on April 28th at 6:00 pm at the Purdue Extension Office. If you cannot attend, please contact the Purdue Extension Office.

Swine, Sheep, Goats: Tagging Day on May 7 from 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the Gibson County Fairgrounds. Help will be available for animal identification online. Please bring your 4HOnline login and password so that help can be provided.

Dairy & Horse & Pony: If you are leasing an animal, be sure to complete the Animal Lease Agreement. It can be downloaded below or picked up at the Purdue Extension Office.

Horse & Pony: All horses must be vaccinated for: Eastern and Western Equine Encephalomyelitis, Rhinopneumonitis/EHV type 1 and 4, Equine Influenza, Tetanus, and Rabies. A vaccination form (download below) must be completed for each animal and is required to exhibit. Horse & Pony vaccination day will be held on Saturday, May 7 from 10 am - 12 pm at the Gibson County Fairgrounds. Also, all Horse & Pony exhibitors (mini and 4-H) MUST attend at least one mandatory safety workshop. Dates are TBA.

All Species: All 4-H members exhibiting animals at the fair must have a premise ID number for the location where their animals are kept.  Registering your premises may be done online, at no charge, and takes only about 5 minutes. Visit the Indiana State Board of Animal Health’s (BOAH) website: www.in.gov/boah and click on “Premises Registration”. No animals can be penned or stalled until the superintendent inspects the animal. Failure to comply will result in ineligibility to show animal and animal must be removed from premises. There will be check-in times for each species and the animals must arrive during this time and be checked by a superintendent before the animal is penned or stalled.
