The Indiana DNR Division of Forestry and Entomology along with Purdue Entomology will be hosting an Early Detector Training program in Brookville this summer. The goals are to train interested citizens and landowners how to identify the signs and symptoms of invasive pests and diseases posing a threat to our Indiana rural and urban forests. These trained Citizen scientists will them be asked to report via GLEDN website or App where they are seeing these signs and symptoms in their community and
The Open Class Exhibits in the Red Barn at the Franklin County 4-H Fair are sponsored by the Extension Homemakers. Any Franklin County resident, member of a Franklin County Extension Homemaker Club, or parent of a Franklin County 4-H member may enter exhibits in the Red Barn, except 4-H members are invited to submit exhibits for the Open Class judging.
Exhibits are entered on Monday, July 13th beginning at 9:00 AM until 11:30 AM at the Red Barn.
