Join us at the Franklin County 4-H Fairgrounds in Brookville Indiana on Friday, June 19 for the Color Me Green 4-H Fun Run! Color Me Green is a Purdue Extension 4-H Youth Development sponsored color run being held across Indiana. Runners will be showered with GREEN colored powder at various stations along the run. The 1.5 mile run is untimed and has no winners or prizes-it's all done in the spirit of fun!

The Franklin County 4-H Fair is a favorite family friendly summer activity for the residents and visitors of Franklin County. It takes place the 3rd week in July at the 4-H Fairgrounds in Brookville, Indiana. Visit us to see the incredible 4-H exhibits, quality livestock and animal shows, open class exhibits, rides, food, games, grandstand events and more! Admission to the fair is free!

A 4-H project is a series of learning experiences for 4-H members. There are 60 project areas available for 4-H'ers to choose from in Franklin County. Most projects have manuals or books to assist the 4-H'er with his/her project. 4-H is a "learn by doing" program. Leaders, Junior Leaders and parents are encouraged to teach and show members how to complete a task, but members are expected to learn how to do things themselves, and complete their own projects. The Open Class Exhibits in the Red Barn at the Franklin County 4-H Fair are sponsored by the Extension Homemakers. Any Franklin County resident, member of a Franklin County Extension Homemaker Club, or parent of a Franklin County 4-H member may enter exhibits in the Red Barn, except 4-H members are invited to submit exhibits for the Open Class judging. Exhibits are entered on Monday, July 13th beginning at 9:00 AM until 11:30 AM at the Red Barn.
