Rabbits 4-H Project

March 24, 2020
Rabbits 4-H Project

The 4-H Rabbit Project provides youth a fun and hands-on learning experience that develops life skills, as well as teaches valuable information about properly caring for their animal. Subjects such as such as general care, nutrition housing, and health care are presented in the curricular materials, through workshops and activities such as Rabbit Ambassadors and in preparation of an exhibit. Youth also have the opportunity to develop responsibility, decision-making, nurturing, and communication skills through active participation in the 4-H Rabbit Project.

Note:  Rabbit posters should be checked-in during Rabbit check-in.

Note: Members are required to complete ONE General 4-H Record Sheet per year which will include all projects that the 4-H member takes for the year. Rabbit members also must complete the Youth for Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) training to exhibit rabbits at the Dubois County 4-H Fair and/or the Indiana State Fair.

Project Manuals may be requested through the lending library.  (Only Cats, Dogs and Small Pets require manuals).  Visit the 4-H Online Homepage to find directions for requesting manuals.
