This handbook is your guide to all aspects of the 4-H Program in Clay County. It details the policies and procedures of the entire 4-H program, including the guidelines and project requirements of each 4-H project. This document sets out certain standards and guidelines to be used to assure that 4-H is a positive youth development program. Clay County 4-H policy is guided by the Clay County 4-H Council. The educational 4-H sheep program and related activities (such as workshops and tours) provide youth with a fun and hands-on learning experience which develops both sheep subject skills (such as nutrition, housing, and health care) and life skills (such as responsibility, decision-making, nurturing, and communications) under the direction of caring adults.
