4-H member will learn basic food preparation and display techniques. Plus, they should work with an older family member to learn “family favorite” recipes. 4-H’ers will then be able to compare cooking techniques and food characteristics between “family favorite” recipes and “current” recipes. Food categories are:
- Grades 3 - 4 - Cookies
- Grades 5 - 6 - Cakes
- Grades 7 - 9 - Yeast breads
- Grades 10 - 12 - Baked food product of your choice.
