This is the 2016 Brown County 4-H Handbook. It has important dates and ALL rules for ALL Brown County 4-H Projects.
Joining a local 4-H club is the first step in becoming involved in your 4-H community. Clubs can be organized by community or project, and generally meet on a monthly basis. Club meetings are a great place for members to share their work, plan community service programs, and learn leadership and communication skills.
The 4-H Connections is the county 4-H newsletter that is emailed/mailed to every 4-H family. The newsletter gives information about county-level 4-H meetings, workshops, and activities offered to 4-H members, leaders, and parents. For most events, this will be your only source of information.
The Agriculture & Natural Resources Newsletter is Brown County's source of information regarding county, area, and state level programs. It also provides pertinent and up-to-date information regarding horticulture, commercial agriculture, and natural resources.
The Extension Homemakers' Newsletter is a source of information regarding county, area and state level programs. It also provides information regarding the local Extension Homemaker clubs with up-to-date news.
