Several individuals have inquired about the large, wild carrot appearing weeds growing in our ditches and roadsides. There is a fear the weed is giant hogweed; a large, phototoxic plant. I am here to put those fears at ease but still caution people of poison hemlock.

Funding available for high tunnels The NRCS is offering funding for growers installing high tunnels in 2015. There is a five-step application process. Funding will be $3.78 per square foot up to $8,233. Select demographics may receive higher payment rates. Free workshops and webinars are available.
