Train Your Trees Saturday, June 2 10:00-11:30 am, led by Bill Diedrichs, retired city forester and Advanced Master Gardener Learn the proper methods of pruning spring blooming trees and young trees. This will be a free hands-on class. Please register with Rhonda at 481-6826 or email@example.com. Class will meet under the sugar maple tree at the edge of the parking lot. Please bring gloves and hand held pruners.
GARDEN PRODUCT REVIEW 2018 with Matt Mang of Ag Plus Matt has been with Ag Plus for 18 plus years and manages the Turf Department (lawn and garden products). He will give an informal discussion of products in review for 2018. He will bring his favorites to display and discuss their proper uses. He will be informing us of the “why, when & how” of the use of garden products. Monday, June 18, 6:00 PM. There is no fee for this class, but pre-registration is required. Please register with Rhonda at the Extension Office by June 13.
BANEFUL BOTANICALS & OTHER ODDITIES with Terri Theisen Terri Theisen is our new Horticulture Educator at the Purdue Extension - Allen County Office. She has a great sense of humor and this should be a fun and exciting presentation. More details will follow in future ATFs. Thursday, October 25, 6:00 PM. There is no fee for this presentation, but pre-registration is required, since this will fill quickly. Please register by October 19 to attend this presentation with Rhonda at the Extension Office.
EVERGREEN SWAG WORKSHOP with Amy Oliver Amy Oliver, Landscape Designer at Arbor Farms Nursery will help you put together the fragrant tips of noble fir and cedar to create fresh holiday swag. The swag will also incorporate accents such as pine cones, berries, a decorative bow and more for a nice seasonal touch. You are welcome to bring your own additional items to incorporate into the evergreen swag as well. She will also be giving a demonstration on how to decorate your outdoor annual planters for Christmas. Using fresh holiday greenery and other accents, you can quickly create a holiday arrangement in your empty flower pots to decorate your front porch! Monday, December 10, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The fee for this class is $30.00 which includes all materials you will need to create your swag. This class fills early and very quickly – Registration deadline is Monday, December 3.
