At-Home Activities for Kids
The Purdue Extension 4-H Youth Development team has gathered resources to support families and kids while our communities practice social distancing due to COVID-19.
Trash, Trash, Trash Everywhere! We need reinforcements. Your challenge, should you accept it, is to build a robot that can save the world from all the trash by helping us recycle our waste. We need you and your mind to solve this growing problem. We look forward to having you on our team! Youth in teams of 4 will design and build a robot that can be utilized to recycle trash. Each team will be provided with a VEX robotics kit and a set of tools. Each team will have approximately 12 hours to complete the task before competing against the other teams to see who has designed and built the most effective trash recycling robot.
